Cryolipolysis – The Easiest Way To A Cool Body

We have all seen that no matter how much we exercise, eat well, and whip our bodies, there are some parts that do not seem to respond as we would like them to. Every person has their “trouble zone” and it has resulted in frustration for all of us at some point or another.

These problem areas, in many cases, become catalysts for self-esteem issues as we dress and present ourselves in ways to cover up these annoying areas. For most people, these areas have been the bottom, hips, inner thighs, outer thighs, under the bottom, and under arms.

Traditionally, the vast majority of people have at least one or two of these areas that do not seem to respond to conventional methods of training and dieting, despite our best attempts.

“If only there was a way to target those areas without surgery or other invasive manoeuvres,” we have told ourselves. But alas, there hasn’t been, and so two categories of people have emerged – those that resort to extreme and expensive measures to sculpt their body, and those that have given up entirely.

Thankfully, there has been much scientific research into this area of localised fat reduction. In 2010, the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) in the USA approved a brand new technology called Cryolipolysis as a safe, non-invasive and effective method of removing fat from unwanted areas.

Cryolipolysis [“Cryo” relates to freezing; “lipo” means fat; “lysis” is the breakdown of cells] uses advanced cooling methods to trick the body into eliminating and removing unwanted fat cells from specific areas. Of course, these areas include our previous “trouble areas” such as the bottom, hips, inner thighs, outer thighs, under the bottom, and under arms.

The basis of Cryolipolysis is that fat cells die at a higher temperature than the rest of the body. Gentle suction is applied to the treatment areas and during the [usually] forty-five minute treatments the target area is cooled down to near freezing. This is not cold enough to cause frostbite or damage tissue such as muscle, skin or nerves, because these tissues do not freeze at the same temperature as fat.

However, because the fat cells themselves are frozen, it is enough to bring about their death in the treatment area. Once this occurs, an interesting thing happens. Our bodies recognise the fat as being damaged and send special cells to the fat to process it and eliminate it.

Over a gradual period of time (usually between 8 and 12 weeks), this damaged and processed fat gets uptaken by the lymphatic system and then the liver. Finally, the body will excrete these converted fat cells through the urine.

The result? Cryolipolysis removes fat from target areas safely, effectively and passively. This is incredibly exciting as it is pretty much the Holy Grail of localised fat reduction.

If you have fat that just won’t budge no matter what you’ve done in the past, you may want to seriously consider what cryolipolysis can do for you.
